rock holes

rockholes

I’m the one in the yellow dress.

C and I have known each other since practically birth. When this was taken (either by her mother or mine), we were three or four. Audobon Park was our second back yard and our moms would take us over there daily. On the way, there were these mysterious holes in the ground. We had to stop every time and put rocks in the holes. We were convinced that one day we would fill the holes up.

The holes are still there. C took her daughter by that neighborhood a few years ago and told her the story of us filling the holes.
